According to Voetbalprimeur.nl, FC Groningen has extended Thijmen Blokzijl's contract by exercising an option. The 20-year-old defender is now under contract at De Euroborg until the summer of 2027. Blokzijl's contract was originally set to expire next summer. The Pride of the North and the youth international will discuss the future during the second half of the season.
