Lech Poznań is finalizing the transfer of Taofeek Ismaheel from Górnik Zabrze. The transfer will be a loan until 30 June 2026, with a mandatory purchase clause. The total transfer fee will be slightly over one million euros. Taofeek Ismaheel was also linked with Samsunspor, but the Turkish club did not meet the financial demands of Górnik Zabrze.

Taofeek Ismaheel has caught the attention of Lech Poznań, according to Piotr Koźmiński from Goal.pl. Although there have been media reports indicating a potential transfer, Górnik Zabrze's coach, Michal Gašparík, is reportedly against selling the player for more than one million euros, as he wishes to continue the working relationship they began a few weeks ago. The 24-year-old Nigerian winger, who had an impressive debut season in Poland, has sparked interest from Lech Poznań during the ongoing transfer window. Nonetheless, Gašparík is said to maintain his firm position despite recent additions to the squad and criticisms of Ismaheel's performance, emphasizing a wish to further develop their recent partnership. In the meantime, a Turkish club has also expressed interest, indicating a competitive market for securing the player's signature. Ismaheel's contract with Górnik Zabrze extends until June 2027, and his market value is currently assessed by Transfermarkt at €700,000.
