According to information from Szymon Janczyk, Zagłębie Lubin was interested in loaning Szymon Włodarczyk this summer. The 22-year-old Polish forward from Sturm Graz ultimately chose a move to the Netherlands over a return to the Ekstraklasa, joining newly promoted Eredivisie side Excelsior Rotterdam on a temporary transfer which includes an option to buy. His contract with parent club Sturm Graz is set to expire in 2027, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €1.60m.
