Piast Gliwice are considering Lechia Gdańsk's 22-year-old Polish goalkeeper Szymon Weirauch as they search for a goalkeeper to replace the seriously injured František Plach. According to Piotr Kamieniecki of TVP Sport, Weirauch, who serves as a backup option in Gdańsk, is one of several goalkeepers being considered by the club. Weirauch joined Lechia in July 2024 and has made eight appearances in the Ekstraklasa this season. His contract runs until 2029 and he has a current Transfermarkt market value of €500k.
