Arka Gdynia officially announced that Szymon Sobczak may soon leave the club and has been given permission to look for a new employer.

The striker's contract is valid until June 30, 2026, and there is a high chance of a winter transfer. A few weeks ago, it was reported that he had already received several inquiries.

Szymon Sobczak was linked with a departure from Arka Gdynia at the end of the transfer window due to a lack of playing time. The player confirmed he had a real offer in July from a 'big, Polish first league club,' but denied it was from Wisła Kraków. Sobczak also mentioned having informal conversations with Wisła Kraków's sporting director, Vullnet Basha, clarifying they were not serious negotiations. He ultimately decided to stay at Arka Gdynia after speaking with coach Dawid Szwarga, who did not tell him he should leave.
