RKC Waalwijk has confirmed via its official channels the signing of 20-year-old Dutch defender Sven van der Plas, who will arrive on a free transfer from PSV. Van der Plas, whose contract was expiring, played in 36 of 38 matches for Jong PSV in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie this season. He will join RKC Waalwijk from the 2026/2027 season after signing a three-year contract that runs until mid-2029. On the club website, RKC's technical director, Bernard Schuiteman, stated that they are pleased Sven chose their club and noted his good development at Jong PSV. Schuiteman added that the player's 1.91-meter height and dueling power will add to the squad's capabilities and that they believe he can develop further in his career with them. Van der Plas has been capped six times for the Netherlands U19 team and has a current market value of €300k, according to Transfermarkt.
