Tranmere manager Andy Crosby said that the club is pleased to have brought Stephan Negru to Tranmere. He described the defender as a strong, composed centre-back who has already gained valuable experience on loan, and stated that they believe he is ready to contribute significantly at Prenton Park. Negru began his career in Ireland with Shelbourne and joined Oxford United in January 2023. He spent most of last season at Salford City before his loan to Bristol Rovers in the summer.
