Steeve Kango will not be joining Belgian D1 leaders Charleroi, for whom he was a priority, as the parties did not reach an agreement on the terms of a loan.

Sporting Charleroi has a real and concrete interest in Steeve Kango, the 19-year-old French-Algerian right-back of Olympique Lyonnais. Sporting Charleroi may make an approach in the next few days, although no concrete negotiations have yet been started between the clubs. His contract with the French club runs until 2029, and he has been capped twice for the France U18 national team. TSG Hoffenheim have also been linked with the player. According to Transfermarkt, his valuation is currently €1.00m.
