Stav Lemkin Transfer from Shakhtar Donetsk to FC Twente
Stav Lemkin, a 22-year-old Israeli center-back, is set to be officially announced as a Twente player in the coming days. Following lengthy negotiations with three clubs, Shakhtar agreed to release the player. The clubs involved included Colorado Rapids from the USA and Maccabi Tel Aviv from Israel, where Lemkin spent the 2024/25 season on loan. Although Maccabi had an option to purchase him, they did not exercise it in time. Colorado Rapids proposed a higher salary starting at $380,000, with an increase in the second season. However, Lemkin reportedly opted for a move to Twente, as he considered playing in the Netherlands a better step for his career, despite Twente offering the lowest salary among the interested clubs. Shakhtar had initially acquired Lemkin for €850,000 in the summer of 2023, but he only managed to make five official appearances for the team.
