Stav Lemkin Transfer from Shakhtar Donetsk to Colorado Rapids
Colorado Rapids from the USA showed interest in Stav Lemkin and were willing to pay him 380,000 USD in the first season with a raise in the second season. However, Lemkin chose to play in the Netherlands for career reasons, despite the higher salary offer from Colorado Rapids.
The North American MLS club 'Colorado Rapids' is finalizing the deal to sign the 22-year-old Israeli center-back Stav Lemkin from 'Shakhtar Donetsk'. The American club will pay 1.6 million dollars for the player, although it was previously reported that 'Shakhtar' demanded 1.8 million euros for Lemkin. Lemkin played the 2024/25 season on loan at 'Maccabi Tel Aviv', which had the first option to buy the defender's contract but did not exercise it in the agreed time. 'Shakhtar' signed Lemkin in the summer of 2023 for 850,000 euros.
22-year-old central defender of Shakhtar, Stav Lemkin, currently on loan at Maccabi Tel Aviv, may soon leave the club. According to the Israeli portal One, Maccabi Tel Aviv failed to buy the player from Shakhtar. Shakhtar also does not count on Lemkin. MLS club Colorado Rapids is planning to buy the player. Shakhtar demands 1.8 million euros for the Israeli, and Colorado Rapids is willing to pay this amount. This season, Lemkin has played 28 matches and provided one assist.
