According to a report from Rete 8, Pescara has identified 27-year-old Italian centre-forward Simone Mazzocchi as a target to strengthen its attack. Last season with Cosenza, Mazzocchi scored eight goals and provided five assists in 22 appearances but was kept out for almost four months by a shoulder injury. The player was managed at Cosenza this year by Pescara's prospective coach, Antonio Buscé. Mazzocchi has three caps for Italy's U20 team, is under contract with Cosenza until June 2027, and has a current market value of €400k, according to Transfermarkt.
