Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Padova has made contact in recent hours for Silvio Merkaj of Sudtirol.

Padova is interested in 28-year-old Albanian centre-forward Silvio Merkaj. His transfer fee is set at approximately one million euros, which is slightly above his market value of €900k according to Transfermarkt. SudTirol is not willing to offer discounts on the price for the player, who joined the club in August 2023 and has a contract until 2027. Other Italian clubs, including Modena, Pisa, and Vicenza, have also been linked with Merkaj.
