Hellas Verona has shown interest in SudTirol's 28-year-old Albanian-Italian attacker Silvio Merkaj. Verona is not the only club interested, as they face competition from Padova, Pisa, and Modena, while Vicenza has also been monitoring the player. He has drawn widespread attention from Serie B. Merkaj joined SudTirol in August 2023 and is under contract until June 2027. The club is open to a sale but has set a firm asking price of around one million euros and is not willing to provide any discounts, as it is in a position where it does not need to sell players cheaply. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €900k.
