Silas Transfer from VfB Stuttgart to Hannover 96

The transfer of Silas to Hannover 96 has failed due to financial reasons, according to Bild. The salary of the offensive player, which he currently receives at VfB Stuttgart at €2.5 million per year, is unaffordable for the second division club.

According to Bild, the transfer of Silas from Stuttgart to Hannover 96 failed.

Silas, a 27-year-old winger from DR Congo, is reportedly close to moving to Hannover 96. He is not in VfB Stuttgart's plans and has been looking for a new club for several weeks after recovering from an injury. Negotiations with the second-division team are at an advanced stage. The specific transfer model is said to still be open, though a loan would only be possible if Silas first extends his contract with Stuttgart, which expires in the summer. Other clubs such as Hamburger SV, Werder Bremen, and Schalke 04 were also recently subjects of rumors, but Hannover appears to be the most likely club to sign him. The player, who joined Stuttgart in August 2019, has 20 caps and one goal for his country. His current Transfermarkt market value is €3.00m, and in mid-to-late 2025, VfB Stuttgart's asking price was reportedly around €8 million.
