Sidnei Tavares, a Cape Verdean-Portuguese defensive midfielder for Blackburn, is expected to become a player for Wisła Płock. The 24-year-old, who is a product of the Leicester City academy, was recently linked with Jagiellonia Białystok. Tavares is the cousin of Nani, who is known from his career with Manchester United and the Portugal national team. The transfer is not yet finalized. Tavares joined Blackburn from Moreirense in July 2025 for a fee of €2.0M, and his contract is set to expire in June 2028. It was reported in August 2026 that Blackburn would want at least €1.0M for the player. His current Transfermarkt market value is €1.80m.
