Sidiki Cherif Transfer from Angers SCO to Villarreal

Villarreal is one of the clubs interested in Sidiki Chérif. In a press conference, Angers coach Alexandre Dujeux confirmed a transfer is possible this winter. Dujeux stated that due to existing offers, they expect Sidiki Chérif to leave. The coach said he has accepted this, but that the timing is a separate issue. He described Chérif as a very important player who will certainly leave the club. The Angers management has valued Sidiki Chérif at 30 million euros.

It is said that Villarreal is currently in the leading position to recruit the Franco-Guinean forward Sidiki Chérif.

According to L'Équipe, Villarreal has officially made an approach for Sidiki Chérif with an initial offer of close to 20 million euros. The management of Angers has set a minimum price of 25 million euros for the player. Negotiations are ongoing between the two clubs, and other potential suitors may still emerge.

With the winter transfer window approaching, Villarreal is one of the most interested teams in Sidiki Cherif, an 18-year-old French and Guinean Angers forward who has had a notable performance in the French league. The Spanish club has made an offer of nearly 20 million euros for the player, although Villarreal has not confirmed this. The bid would be insufficient, as Angers requires a minimum of 25 million euros due to the young forward's potential. In recent weeks, AC Milan, as well as other English and German clubs, have also shown interest. Chérif, who joined Angers in July 2023, has a contract with the club until June 2028 and has scored 4 goals in 16 Ligue 1 appearances this season. He has also represented France at the U16 level, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €2.00m.
