Irish defender Shane Blaney, 26, has moved to Sligo Rovers, a team in the League of Ireland Premier Division, on a loan deal that lasts until July 1, 2026. Blaney, who joined Livingston from Motherwell during the summer, has had his playing time restricted by injuries, leading to just eight appearances across all competitions. He has been inactive since October after being injured in the first half of an away match against Hibs at Easter Road. Having completed his recovery and rehabilitation, he is joining Sligo Rovers prior to their SSE Airtricity Premier Division opening game against Derry City next month. His contract at Livingston expires on June 30, 2026, and Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €300k.
