Granada has signed right-back Sergio López on a transfer from Darmstadt 98. This is their third acquisition for their third consecutive season in Segunda División. The club announced the agreement with the German team for the 27-year-old player. López holds both Spanish and German nationality and returns to Spain after several seasons abroad. He previously played for FC Basel in Switzerland and, before that, for Real Madrid Castilla and Real Valladolid. He was formed in Real Madrid's youth academy. His current market value is €1.20m, according to Transfermarkt.
