Sergey Semak, the head coach of Zenit, stated that right-back Sergey Volkov needs to go on loan to regain his form. It was previously reported that Volkov would move to Sochi on loan until the end of the 2025/2026 season. Sergey Volkov is a product of the Krasnodar academy and played six matches for Zenit last season without notable achievements. He suffered a cruciate ligament injury in September 2024.
