According to 'Championat', which cited a source familiar with the situation, Krylya Sovetov's Russian central midfielder Sergey Babkin has completed a medical for his transfer to Lokomotiv Moscow. The 23-year-old player has not been capped by the Russian national team and is expected to sign his contract with the Moscow club on August 21. He moved to Krylya Sovetov from Lokomotiv Moscow in September 2023 for a reported €500K. Since joining the Samara-based team, Babkin has made 114 appearances in all competitions, scoring five goals and providing five assists. His existing agreement with Krylya Sovetov runs until the summer of 2029. The Transfermarkt portal lists his market value as €2 million. Rubin Kazan has also been linked with the midfielder. In August 2026, reports indicated Lokomotiv was close to a deal for 220 million rubles (approx. €2.2M), while Rubin Kazan reportedly offered 240 million rubles (approx. €2.4M).
