Sebastian Bergier Transfer from Widzew Lodz to Ferencváros
Ferencvárosi TC offered two and a half million euros for Sebastian Bergier. This offer was confirmed by the player's agent, Mariusz Piekarski, and by Dariusz Adamczuk, the plenipotentiary of the RTS board for sports affairs. The Hungarian proposal was immediately rejected, and Widzew Łódź did not start negotiations. In an interview with TVP Sport, Sebastian Bergier stated that for him, the move would have been a good step forward and that he was pleased such a club wanted him. Bergier said that he could have ended up in Hungary if Widzew had agreed. He also expressed satisfaction that Widzew rejected the offer, as this showed the club values him.
Ferencvárosi are interested in 26-year-old Polish striker Sebastian Bergier. According to Mariusz Piekarski, an inquiry was made for a player valued at 2.5 million euros, but the approach was rejected after speaking with directors. Dariusz Adamczuk, a club representative for sports affairs, confirmed the matter, stating that Widzew did not want to negotiate as they have a plan and would not sell their top striker for that price. He also acknowledged that any player would want to earn more at a better club. While officials did not disclose the club's name, the interested party was identified as Ferencvárosi, the 36-time Hungarian champions who had previously shown interest in another Ekstraklasa player. Widzew does not plan for Bergier to leave the club. The centre-forward joined the club in July 2025, is under contract until June 30, 2028, and has scored 9 goals in 15 Ekstraklasa appearances this season. His current market value on Transfermarkt is €1.00m.
