2. Bundesliga club Bochum is interested in acquiring Brøndby's right back, Sean Klaiber, a 32-year-old Surinamese international who also holds Dutch citizenship. The defender, who joined Brøndby in September 2023, has not played for the club since February 15. Both head coach Thomas Nørgaard and sporting director Julius Ohnesorge have confirmed that efforts are being made to facilitate his departure. Bochum, led by former AGF coach Uwe Rösler, is an option for Klaiber as the German club is looking for a new right back. Their need arose after Jean Manuel Mbom, signed from Viborg FF, suffered an injury that could potentially keep him from playing for the rest of the year, leaving the team with only one player in that position. Although Klaiber's contract runs until summer 2027, Julius Ohnesorge stated earlier in August that there are several possibilities for his exit, explaining that it could either be a transfer if another club makes an approach or a mutual termination of his contract. His current market value is €900k, according to Transfermarkt.
