Dundee United have confirmed that 18-year-old midfielder and academy graduate Scott Constable has joined William Hill Championship side Arbroath on a loan deal until the end of the season. The Scotland U-19s international, who also holds Thai nationality, has previously been on loan with Stirling Albion and Airdrieonians. He has made five senior appearances for Dundee United, including in their UEFA Conference League campaign last summer. Manager Jim Goodwin said he was pleased that Constable had secured a loan to a Championship club and was excited to see how he performs and develops. Goodwin added that he feels Arbroath's style of football will suit the midfielder's game, which he feels will allow him to flourish. Constable is set to continue his progression at The Red Lichties during the 2026/27 season. According to Transfermarkt, the player's current market value is €50k.
