Saud Abdulhamid Transfer from Roma to Toulouse

L'Équipe reports on the transfer situation involving Saud Abdulhamid and his move to RC Lens. Saud Abdulhamid was close to signing with Toulouse, but the transfer did not materialize as RC Lens secured his loan move instead.

Toulouse is close to reaching an agreement with AS Rome for a loan with an option to buy, allowing Saud Abdulhamid to sign a three-year contract with Toulouse. The club has been interested for several weeks.

Saud Abdulhamid, recruited last summer from Al-Hilal, has not obtained the expected playing time at AS Roma. French clubs saw a potential good deal and in May, Toulouse had already made contact and reportedly took a lead in the negotiations. Toulouse remains confident in signing the 26-year-old player and hopes to finalize the transfer by the end of the week.

Saud Abdulhamid, a Saudi international right-back, is in advanced discussions to join Toulouse on loan with an option to buy. He arrived at AS Rome a year ago but has only made 8 appearances this season. Despite being appreciated by the Roman management, Toulouse has convinced him to join, attracted by the opportunity to relaunch his career in Ligue 1. AS Rome is delaying the transfer until they finalize the arrival of Wesley França from Flamengo, who needs to obtain his visa and pass a medical examination.

An agreement has been reached between Toulouse and AS Roma for the loan of Saud Abdulhamid. The player arrived in Italy last summer but only played 4 Serie A matches with AS Roma. He preferred Toulouse over RC Lens, who had also expressed interest.

Saud Abdulhamid, a right-back from AS Roma, was recently targeted by Toulouse. According to Foot Mercato, Toulouse is well advanced in discussions and has the favor of the Saudi international. Abdulhamid has been minimally utilized in Italy and is valued at less than 5 million euros.

Toulouse, having shown interest in the past, is still keen on signing the Saudi international. The 25-year-old right-back has only appeared in four Serie A matches this season, prompting Roma to contemplate a loan move to ensure he gains more playing time. Besides Toulouse, Lens is also monitoring his situation, along with two other undisclosed Ligue 1 teams. Transfermarkt currently estimates his market worth at 4.00m euros.
