A possible transfer of LASK's 30-year-old Austrian captain and central midfielder, Sascha Horvath, to MLS was ruled out by club CEO Siegmund Gruber, who said that he believes they cannot afford Sascha. Horvath, who joined LASK in August 2021, has a contract that runs until June 30, 2028, and a current market value estimated by Transfermarkt at €2.00m. The San Jose Earthquakes were the MLS club reportedly interested. He has been capped 22 times for Austria's U21 team, scoring two goals.
