Beşiktaş has reportedly focused on the South American market for a defender and has identified Santiago Ramos Mingo as a target. Mingo is a 24-year-old Argentine center-back at the Brazilian club Bahia who also holds Italian citizenship. Beşiktaş is closely monitoring the player and preparing to take formal steps to acquire him. The most serious approach for Mingo to date is said to have come from the Turkish club. Southampton, Lyon, and PSV Eindhoven are also reported to be among the teams observing the defender, whose contract with Bahia is valid until December 31, 2029. Mingo joined Bahia in January 2025 from Defensa y Justicia for a confirmed fee of €4.1M. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at €11.00m.
