Brentford had shown interest in Santiago Bueno, but did not take any further action.

Brentford are monitoring the situation of 27-year-old Uruguayan Wolves defender Santiago Bueno, whose club will be under pressure to sell key players because of their relegation to the Championship. West Ham United hope to sign the player, while Crystal Palace are also mentioned as monitoring his situation. Bueno has been capped 8 times for Uruguay. He joined Wolves from Girona in August 2023 for a fee reported as €12.0M, and his contract runs until June 2028. His current market value is €10.00m, according to Transfermarkt.
