A potential summer swap deal that would have sent Milan's 24-year-old Mexican international Santiago Giménez to Atalanta, with Artem Dovbyk moving to the club managed by Allegri, was not completed. The transfer reportedly collapsed because the giallorossi wanted a buyout clause for the former Feyenoord player. According to La Repubblica, the two clubs have now resumed discussions ahead of the winter transfer window. Giménez has a contract with Milan until 2029, has made 9 appearances in Serie A this season, and provided one assist. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €25.00m. Roma has also been recently linked with the centre-forward.
