According to a report from Foot Mercato, Swiss club FC Basel are making progress regarding a potential summer transfer for FC Troyes centre-back Sankhoun Diawara. Diawara's contract is set to expire next summer, and Troyes would approve a departure rather than have him leave for no fee in a year. The defender made 17 senior appearances last season and is expected to feature more frequently if Troyes succeeds in signing him to a new contract and resisting interest from other clubs.
