Globo.com reports that 35-year-old Brazilian right-back Samuel Xavier is close to extending his contract with Fluminense. The new contract will run until the end of 2027. His previous contract was due to expire in December of this year. In the middle of the season, Samuel Xavier would have been able to sign a pre-contract with another team and leave for free. He joined the club in March 2021, and his current market value is €250k, according to Transfermarkt.
