Pete O’Rourke reports that MK Dons have had a bid in the region of £500k rejected for Rotherham United striker Sam Nombe. MK Dons are leading the pursuit for the player among several other League One clubs.

According to the Reading Chronicle, Reading FC are interested in acquiring Sam Nombe from Rotherham United. Nombe scored 12 goals in League One this season, and his club, the Millers, were relegated to League Two.

The Millers have quoted a price of £2 million for Sam Nombe, a 27-year-old English striker. The Millers would ideally prefer to keep him while they are competing to avoid relegation. Wanderers are unlikely to proceed at that price but are seeking to acquire another striker before next Monday’s deadline. Nombe joined the club on 31/08/2023, and his contract is set to expire on 30/06/2027. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €750k.
