The Sun reports that Manchester United have officially confirmed the departure of Sam Mather to Kayserispor. The Turkish club reached an agreement to sign the academy graduate permanently. The forward will join Kayserispor, a club currently 16th in the Turkish Super Lig and managed by Radomir Dalovic. The transfer was confirmed just days after Mather posted a goodbye message on social media.

According to Manchester World, Kayserispor have agreed personal terms with Sam Mather and have begun negotiating with Manchester United. The same source states a bid was made, though it was not enough to get United’s approval yet. The Daily Mail claims Manchester United are now prepared to compromise in discussions. The club will allow Mather to leave on a free transfer, as long as a sell-on clause is inserted into the deal. The BBC had noted the academy graduate would leave in the winter window after a deadline day transfer to the Turkish side did not happen last summer.
