Sam Long, a 23-year-old Scottish and English goalkeeper, has completed a move to Salford City, signing a two-year deal with the club that runs until 2028. The former Lincoln City academy graduate arrives at Moor Lane ahead of the 2026/27 campaign after being released by Bromley this summer. He was part of Bromley's title-winning squad last season, making three league appearances and five cup appearances. Salford City confirmed the signing, which strengthens their goalkeeping department under Peter Cklamovski. After the move was announced, Long said he was delighted to get the deal done, describing last season with Bromley as an incredible experience he hoped to replicate. He has previously represented Scotland at U21 level. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €75k.
