According to Fanatik, Sael Kumbedi from Wolfsburg is a prominent candidate in Fenerbahçe's search for a foreign right-back under the age of 23. The 21-year-old French footballer was transferred to Wolfsburg for 6 million Euro during the previous winter transfer window. The situation has changed following Wolfsburg's relegation.

Fenerbahçe has identified Sael Kumbedi as their third option for the right-back position as the club seeks to sign a player under 23 years old to comply with foreign player regulations. Kumbedi's current club, Wolfsburg, underwent a surprise relegation last season, and it is not anticipated that the French player will remain with the team. However, Wolfsburg is reportedly unwilling to sell the 21-year-old permanently and is open to a loan move. Marseille is also showing interest in Kumbedi, who is said to be evaluating the offers he has received. Kumbedi, who joined Wolfsburg in January 2026, has a contract with the club until 2029. The France U21 international has a current market value of €12.00m according to Transfermarkt.
