Rui Patricio has officially left Atalanta after just one season and joined Al-Ain in the United Arab Emirates. The Portuguese goalkeeper, born in 1988, was a free agent with the Italian club and has been announced as a new player for Al-Ain. He is expected to arrive tomorrow evening for initial tests. Rui Patricio departs Italy with a total of 135 appearances between Roma (129) and Atalanta (6). He will be able to play in the Club World Cup where Al-Ain will make their debut against Juventus.

Rui Patricio arrived as a free agent last summer. There is no option for renewal, and discussions will occur at the end of the season to decide if he will continue with Atalanta.
