CalcioMercato reports that Palermo has signed Rui Modesto, an Angolan full-back with a Portuguese passport. The contract was deposited at the last moment.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb.com, Rui Modesto will move to Palermo on a loan deal that includes a purchase obligation, which becomes active if Palermo is promoted to Serie A. The player is at present having medical tests with the club.

Palermo has expressed interest in Rui Modesto, a 26-year-old Portuguese-Angolan right-sided player at Udinese who is seeking to leave the club. This season, he has made three appearances and provided one assist. Palermo's recent interest is influenced by the probable departure of Salim Diakité and a two-month injury absence for Emmanuel Gyasi.
