Ruben Alte has moved to Viborg FF on a loan deal from Norwegian club Viking. Ruben Alte stated that the move was not made with his good will and that he feels badly treated by Viking. He also mentioned that he is losing money and feels disrespected by the club. According to TV 2 Norge, Viking did not want to respond to the criticism. Alte was previously on loan at Sandefjord earlier this year but was recalled to Viking in July, and he was expecting to stay for the rest of the season until the end of 2026. Instead, he was sent on another loan to Viborg FF, which was unexpected for him. Ruben Alte said that after returning from Sandefjord, he had found a new apartment in Stavanger, which he now has to leave while still paying for it, resulting in a significant financial loss.

Bold.dk reports that new signing Ruben Alte has been included in Viborg's squad and may make his debut against Lyngby Boldklub.

Viborg FF confirms that the club is loaning the 26-year-old Norwegian Ruben Alte from FK Viking for the rest of the season. Viborg states there is a purchase option included in the agreement. Football director Mads Agesen said that they have been looking for an extra midfielder and are very pleased to have reached an agreement with both Ruben and Viking. Agesen stated that they are getting a dynamic and hardworking number 8, who thinks offensively, is very intense in his play, and has a strong mentality. He added that Alte is a winner who has shown a strong desire to come to Viborg and prove himself in the Superliga. The director further explained that Ruben is a very skilled midfielder who has been a notable player in the Norwegian league but is now considered surplus at Viking after they qualified for the Champions League. This gave Viborg the opportunity to see him for the rest of the season, and they look forward to him coming in to contribute.

According to Norwegian TV 2, Viborg FF is nearing an agreement to sign 26-year-old Norwegian Ruben Alte on a loan deal that is expected to include a purchase option. The outlet writes that Alte will travel to Denmark on Monday to complete the transfer. TV 2 reports that the transfer is partly motivated by Viking's desire to create a squad opening for a new player. Earlier this year, Ruben Alte was loaned from Viking to Sandefjord, and Viking recalled him in July before the conclusion of the loan period.
