The 34-year-old footballer has joined Granada after being released from his contract with Cádiz last week. Despite the closure of the transfer window, Granada has been able to secure his services from the free agent market, which permits clubs to sign players who are not currently affiliated with any team. Alcaraz has committed to a one-season tenure with Granada. Having previously played for clubs like Barcelona, Espanyol, Girona, U.D. Almería, and Real Valladolid, he reunites with his former coach José Rojo ‘Pacheta’ at Granada. Since the 2021/22 season, Alcaraz was with Cádiz, where he made 29 appearances in Segunda División matches last season, scoring three goals and providing one assist. He marks Granada's twelfth signing of the season, as the team aims to enhance their performance after beginning LaLiga Hypermotion with three consecutive defeats.
