Ronan Hale Transfer from Ross County to Wigan Athletic

League One club Wigan Athletic has a reported interest in Ross County's 27-year-old striker, Ronan Hale. It was first reported in May that Wigan, Luton, and Reading were among the clubs interested in the Northern Ireland international. More recently, it has also been reported that League One side Stevenage and fourth-tier Salford City are interested. Ross County rejected a potential £200,000 offer from League Two's Gillingham. After a third bid from Gillingham was rejected, Hale, who has one cap for his country, submitted a transfer request and informed club officials of his desire to leave. It is understood that Ross County's chairman wants to keep the striker. In June, the club stated to the Ross-Shire Journal that they were not in a position where they needed to sell and that any interested club would have to make a significant offer. Hale joined the club in July 2024 and has a contract until May 2027. His current market value on Transfermarkt is €400k. This season in the Scottish Championship, he has recorded one goal and four assists in seven appearances.
