Ronan Hale Transfer from Ross County to Luton Town

The Chronicle reported in May that Luton Town were among several clubs, which included Wigan and Reading, that were interested in Ross County striker Ronan Hale, who is 27. In June, Ross County's chairman told the Ross-Shire Journal that the club did not have a need to sell and that a significant offer would be required to make a deal, suggesting that a hypothetical bid of £1 million would have to be considered. Hale has since asked to leave the club after a potential offer of £200,000 from Gillingham was rejected. The Northern Ireland international submitted a transfer request after a third bid from the League Two side was rejected. Despite the player's wishes, it is understood that Ross County chairman Roy MacGregor wants to keep the striker. It has also been reported that League One clubs Wigan Athletic and Stevenage, as well as fourth-tier Salford City, have expressed interest. Hale joined Ross County in July 2024 and has a contract until May 2027. This season, he has scored one goal and made four assists in seven league appearances. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €400k.
