Adam Susman first reported that the Portland Timbers are set to acquire Venezuelan defender Ronald Hernandez from Atlanta United. The 28-year-old Hernandez is being acquired as a necessary addition at right back for Portland, following injuries to both Brandon Bye and Juan Mosquera. Hernandez, who joined Atlanta in January 2022, has a contract until the end of 2026. He has 36 caps and one goal for Venezuela, and his current market value is €450k according to Transfermarkt.
