Rômulo Transfer from Palmeiras to Novorizontino

ESPN BR reports that Rômulo is set to make a move to Novorizontino in Série B. The midfielder, who is owned by Palmeiras, will join Novorizontino after being returned from his loan spell at Ceará due to underutilization. Ceará is also in the process of negotiating the signing of another midfielder, Vina. It was noted that Rômulo was not included in the plans of Palmeiras' coach Abel Ferreira, leading the club to seek a new team for him. He will be loaned out to Novorizontino, where he had a successful stint from 2019 to 2024. Rômulo is set to become the fourth new addition for the interior paulista team in the transfer window, joining Mayk, formerly of Grêmio, and Raí Ramos and Caio Dantas from Atlético-GO. Currently, Novorizontino is in 3rd place in Série B, just 3 points shy of the leader Goiás, and is considered a strong contender for promotion to the Brasileirão. During his time at Ceará, Rômulo made 21 appearances, providing one assist but not scoring any goals. He holds a contract with Palmeiras until 2028, following the club's investment of R$ 6 million for 70% of his rights in 2024.
