According to inFotbal.cz, 29-year-old Czech midfielder Roman Macek, who spent the last season with Mladá Boleslav, is close to an agreement with Sparta Prague. The transfer could reportedly be completed by activating a release clause valued at around 15 million Czech crowns. Sparta are seeking to address gaps in their midfield following the departure of Kaan Kairinen to Greece and injuries to other players. Macek has been capped five times by the Czechia U21 national team. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €500k.
