Roman Čerepkai has departed FC Košice to rejoin his parent club, the champion Slovan Bratislava, after a four-year absence, in what is considered a major transfer within the Niké liga this window. The 24-year-old homegrown player, who became a key offensive figure at Košice, has signed a four-year contract. This move for the striker follows a successful year which included his debut for the Slovakian national team, for which he has earned one cap. Slovan Bratislava confirmed on its website that the striker had agreed to a long-term deal with the club's management. ŠPORT.sk reported that former player Ľubomír Michalík views the transfer positively, and noted that while being a homegrown talent was beneficial, a striker's performance statistics are what matter. Reports from August 2026 stated that FC Košice had set an asking price of €500,000 for the transfer. The player's current market value is €500k.
