Sunderland manager Regis Le Bris has not ruled out a January exit for 22-year-old English and Jamaican winger Romaine Mundle, who is the subject of growing interest from several clubs. Belgian side Club Brugge have an ongoing interest, while French Ligue 1 club Strasbourg are also interested, and it is understood that Scottish Premier League side Rangers have made an initial inquiry. A loan departure is a possibility for the winger, who has made 8 appearances without a goal or assist in the Premier League this season. However, it is thought that Sunderland would only permit Mundle to leave if they manage to sign a new attacking player during the current window. Mundle, whose contract runs until June 2028, joined Sunderland from Standard Liège in February 2024 for a reported €1.8 million and has a current Transfermarkt market value of €6.00m.
