The Qatari club Lusail SC is in advanced negotiations with 36-year-old Moroccan international centre-back Romain Saïss for a transfer during the upcoming summer transfer window. Lusail has offered Saïss a one-season renewable contract with an annual salary estimated at $1.2 million net of taxes, along with several financial benefits and bonuses linked to the number of matches played and the club's sporting objectives. Romain Saïss's contract with Al Sadd will end next June, and the club's management has not initiated any concrete discussions to extend his contract, which would allow him to join a new club without a contract or a transfer fee. Saïss joined Al-Sadd in July 2023. According to Transfermarkt, he has a current market value of €1.20m.
