Rio Ave is targeting 24-year-old winger Roland Galčík from Slovakian club Podbrezová for the new season. The possibility of the Slovakian international's arrival has increased after Ole Pohlmann's departure to the German club Greuther Furth. Galčík, who has two caps and one goal for his country, scored eleven goals and provided three assists in 29 games for Podbrezová last season. He joined Podbrezová in July 2023 and his contract runs until 2028, with a current Transfermarkt market value of €450k.
