VfB Stuttgart is one of four Bundesliga clubs, alongside FC Augsburg, TSG Hoffenheim, and Werder Bremen, interested in Roggerio Nyakossi, a 22-year-old Swiss centre-back. The captain of the Swiss U21 national team, for whom he has 10 caps, has made a strong impression in the Belgian Jupiler League and has also attracted interest from Feyenoord Rotterdam, FC Everton, Ipswich Town, RC Straßburg, and Olympique Lyon. A transfer could be complicated, despite Nyakossi having a contract with OH Leuven until 2027. His former club, Olympique Marseille, holds a resale percentage clause and a priority buy-back option set at six million euros, a sum considerably less than Leuven's asking price. If Marseille activates this clause, any interested clubs would then have to negotiate with the French side. Nyakossi joined Oud-Heverlee Leuven in January 2025 and has a current Transfermarkt market value of €2.50m.
