Olympique Lyon is one of several clubs interested in Roggerio Nyakossi, a 22-year-old Swiss and Togolese Centre-Back who plays for OH Leuven. Four Bundesliga clubs—FC Augsburg, TSG Hoffenheim, VfB Stuttgart, and Werder Bremen—are also monitoring him, along with Feyenoord Rotterdam, FC Everton, Ipswich Town, and RC Straßburg. Nyakossi, who is the captain of the Swiss U21 national team and has 10 caps, has impressed in the Belgian Jupiler League. A transfer could be complex, however, even though his contract is valid until 2027. Nyakossi moved to Leuven from Olympique Marseille in January 2025 for a fee of €800,000, and his former club retained a resale percentage clause and a priority buy-back option. This buy-back option is set at €6 million, which is a figure below Leuven's valuation of the player. Should Marseille activate the clause, any interested clubs would be required to negotiate with the French club. His current market value is €2.50m, according to Transfermarkt.
