An agreement in principle has been reached for Rodrigo Holgado, a 30-year-old Malaysian-Argentinian forward, to return to Coquimbo Unido on a six-month loan from América de Cali. It is reported that the forward had proposals from other clubs but chose to return to the team where he was previously successful. América de Cali's sporting manager, Iván Vélez, explained that the decision to let Holgado leave was due to the risk of a pending FIFA sanction for alleged irregularities in his naturalization process.
